I am a professor at a primarily undergraduate institution. My spouse is a research professor and works two hours' drive away. This blog is primarily about life at a PUI, but also about our family trying to make the most of an uncomfortable lifestyle.

Congrats! Very very exciting!
ReplyDeleteThis actually leads to a great question: how do you tell your department? What is their maternity leave policy?
Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteMy chair is the second one I tell, since arranging loading and finding any necessary adjuncts is a long and difficult process. Two summers ago he and I tried our darndest to find someone to take the portion of my class that involves hazmat and it was nearly impossible.

ReplyDeleteAnd I see that I was not alone, so thanks to chall for making me feel less like an idiot.
